What is the opportunity?

In this role you will support VPs Corporate Banking efforts to increase volume and revenue growth from a portfolio of large sized businesses in the Commercial target market. You will manage the onboarding of all new corporate clients, engaging key partners as required to ensure that all financial solutions sold to the client are successfully fulfilled. You will also provide sales support to VPs Corporate Banking, helping to identify new and expansion business opportunities that results in volume and revenue growth. You contribute to client loyalty improvement by taking ownership of resolving client issues at the first point of contact.

What will you do?

  • Deliver an unrivalled client experience and support VPs Corporate Banking in preparing contact management strategies to promote revenue growth, client loyalty and retention
  • Ensure that client's contact information is updated on core banking systems at every client interaction to ensure timeliness and accuracy of their data to enable the delivery of an exceptional client experience as clients choose how they wish to interact with us
  • Take ownership and resolve client concerns at first point of contact applying the “Make it Right” principles, ensuring issues are logged via Workflow for follow up and resolution within SLA and clients are informed about RBC’s complaint handling process, escalating if required
  • Introduce all clients to the Specialized Services Response Team (SSRT), increasing adoption and ensuring clients’ understanding of the support in place to service their transactional needs
  • Explain to the client, processes and next steps related to any transactional activity and keep them updated at every step on the status of their inquiry or request
  • First point of contact for the Specialized Services Response Team (SSRT), for all Corporate Banking client queries, enquiries and complaints
  • Champion digital enablement and be an advocate of RBC mobile and online applications, enable our clients to engage with RBC through the channel of choice

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Financial Services or related field
  • A growth mind-set
  • Be a genuine team player
  • Client service skills: must have the ability to support effective communication with clients verbally and in writing, be able to support the identification and articulation of issues and solutions, the integrity to earn the client’s trust and the business acumen to support mutually beneficial opportunities for the client and RBC
  • Excellent organization skill and attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of RIBS, MS Word and Excel, and willingness to familiarize self with other (sometimes emerging) applications and systems
  • An aptitude for listening, establishing rapport and finding the right solutions for customers
  • Ability to multi-task and adjust to the demand/needs of our clients and service partners
  • Ability to deliver optimal client care, accurately defining problems and resolution
