Our client is seeking an Investment & Mortgage Officer to manage new applications, maintain accurate mortgage administration, monitor portfolio performance, and provide key insights to optimise investment returns. You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth processing of mortgages and investments, maintaining the integrity of data, and supporting the organisation’s financial goals.
Tasks
- Assess new investment applications (primarily mortgages), reviewing client income, property appraisals, and preparing proposals for the approving Committee.
- Monitor mortgage arrears, prepare reports for the Executive Investment Committee, and oversee monthly provisions.
- Produce quarterly investment reports and analyse developments in the investment portfolio.
- Manage outstanding mortgage instalments and premiums, send payment reminders, and arrange payment plans.
- Maintain and update the mortgage database, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Coordinate property transactions, including auctions and inspections, liaising with notaries, brokers, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role within banking or insurance.
- Knowledge of insurance products and services, financial planning, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Excel, with the ability to read financial statements.
- Excellent communication skills in English, Dutch, and Papiamento; Spanish is a plus.
- Proactive, analytical, and problem-solving mindset.
